Global Money Exchange Co LLC is a household name when people think about remittance and foreign exchange currency business in Oman. We hold a sizeable market share in Oman's remittance industry and are proudly one of the strongest players in this field. We have grown from a single-branch entity in 2002 to one of the largest exchange companies in terms of branch network (56 branches).

Global Money Exchange Company has bagged the award for Best Exchange Company consecutively for the last 4 years since the inception of the award, acknowledging its continuous above-industry-average operational standards.

Today, we have presence across the terrain of the Sultanate, and we have been allocated 3 currency exchange counters at the Salalah International Airport and 1 at Duqm International Airport. Recently, we have started visa fee collection services at Sohar Airport as well.

The Company has business arrangements with a number of banks from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia and Egypt besides India, and other international instant money transfer conglomerates like Western Union, Mastercard (TransFast), EzRemit, MoneyGram, Al Ansari Cash Express, Instant Cash and Ria Money.

Apart from remittance and currency exchange business, GMEC has started providing additional services like remitting contributions, registration and penalties to the Pravasi Welfare Fund for Non-Resident Keralites, Ooredoo & Friendi recharge services, and a few other international telephone service providers like Ding.
